Do I need a boating licence?
No. Every driver signs the Transport Canada rental safety checklist with Corey before heading out, and that’s your proof of competency for the rental. If you already have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card, bring it.
I’ve never ridden one. Is that okay?
Yes. Most of Corey’s riders are first-timers. He walks you through the controls and the rules before you leave the beach. If you’d rather follow someone, book the guided tour.
How many people fit on one?
Two adults per Sea-Doo. Three only if it’s two medium-sized adults and a small child. With three adults, rent two.
How old do you need to be?
19 or older with photo ID to rent. Passengers need to be 10 or older.
Is fuel included?
On the 1 and 1½ hour rentals you choose: fuel included, or pay for what you use. Everything longer is pay for what you use: Corey refuels after your ride and bills your card at the marina price per litre.
What if it’s windy?
Corey checks the lake before every rental. If it isn’t safe, he’ll reschedule or refund you. Light rain or cloud isn’t a reason to cancel, because the lake often changes through the day. The wind button at the bottom of this page shows Kelowna’s wind right now.
Which launch should I pick?
The one closest to where you’re staying is usually best. Water Street is downtown and busy, Gellatly Bay is quiet with free parking, and Cook Road suits the Mission. See all seven on the map, or text Corey.
Is there a delivery fee?
Not at Water Street, Cook Road or Gellatly Bay. Fintry, Peachland, Okanagan Lake Provincial Park, Summerland and Kekuli Bay have a delivery fee, confirmed when you book.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Cancel 14 days or more before for a full refund, or between 14 days and 48 hours before for a 50% refund. Within 48 hours, or if you don’t show, there’s no refund.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, $1,500 per Sea-Doo. You’re responsible for any damage during your rental.
Can we tow a tube or wakeboard?
No. A rope can get pulled into the jet pump, and that ends the day for everyone.
Where can we ride?
Anywhere on Okanagan Lake that’s safe, at 10 km/h within 30 metres of shore. Corey will show you where to go and what to avoid from your launch.
What should we bring?
Photo ID, the card you booked with, sunscreen, water, and a strap for your sunglasses. Wear something you don’t mind getting wet.
